Throughout the course of September, our Marketing team were out attending a variety of University fairs across Wales, informing students about Traveline Cymru and how they can use our services to help make travelling around their University towns that bit easier.

Planning our summer holidays is arguably one of the more enjoyable times of the year; especially when the sun bursts through with the scorching heat we’ve experienced over the past week!

We can’t quite believe how fast the months seem to be going by this year, but now the sun and warmer weather has started to settle in, we’re full of the summer spirits.

With our Journey Planner being one of the more prominent features on our website, we’ve decided to give you a step-by-step guide on how to use it to get the most out of your experience.

It seems Wales is no stranger to rainy weather, however despite this, the summer season is starting to approach and we’re becoming more and more willing to welcome in the bright, sunny weather when it arrives.

It’s been a long journey bringing our Fares project to fruition, involving lots of hard work from our team, as well as support from bus companies and local authorities.

‘Discover where walking can take you’. Walk to Work Week has been in motion this week as part of Living Streets National Walking Month. 

This week has been all about Catch the Bus Week. The national campaign, launched by Greener Journeys, the sustainable transport group, aims to drive awareness about the benefits of travelling by bus, and particularly to encourage those who don’t normally take the bus to go out and give it a try.

With Easter now officially over, we’ve certainly enjoyed embracing some of the sunshine that seems to have arrived our way over the holiday weekend.

Held at the Liberty Stadium in Swansea, Tuesday 18th February saw the launch of Share Cymru, the first and only bilingual journey sharing scheme for Wales.

Without being too direct, Wales plays host to a large number of different film and TV productions, with the scenic surroundings providing a truly unique backdrop to some of our best loved shows, from Gavin and Stacey, to the more recent BBC detective show, Hinterland.

With St. David’s Day approaching, we’re looking forward to the celebrations that will be happening across the country.

With the New Year now settled in, some of us may have made resolutions to get more active and make exercise a more prominent part of our everyday routines.

It seems that visual and video content is becoming ever more part of the way we communicate. 

It’s the start of a new year and everyone here at Traveline Cymru would like to wish you all a very Happy New Year! We’re all back in our offices and ready to take on 2014.
